Our commitment. Everyone should be able to use this site.

MAXX Organics is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology.

This is not a one-time project. We treat accessibility as ongoing work that improves every time we update the site.

The standard we follow. WCAG 2.1, level AA.

Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1, level AA, published by the W3C. We test against that standard during design, build, and post-launch reviews.

This includes color contrast, keyboard focus, descriptive link text, alternative text on images, and form labels that screen readers can announce.

Where we are. Most pages meet the standard. A few do not yet.

We have audited the core flows (homepage, product pages, cart, checkout, contact). Those meet the AA standard.

A few areas are still in progress:

  • Older product photography may not have full descriptive alt text yet
  • The brand book PDF in our footer has not been fully tagged for screen readers
  • Some marketing email templates lag the live site

We are working through each of these. If you hit a barrier on any page, please tell us so we can prioritize the fix.

Compatible technology. Tested with what people actually use.

The site is tested in current versions of:

  • Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop
  • Safari and Chrome on iOS and Android
  • VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), NVDA (Windows), and TalkBack (Android)

If your setup is older than two years, some features may not work as expected. Email us and we will help find a workaround.

Reporting an issue. We respond within two business days.

If you run into a part of the site you cannot use, please email with:

  • The page you were on (URL helps)
  • What you were trying to do
  • What happened (or did not happen)
  • The assistive technology you were using, if any

We respond within two business days and aim to fix the issue, or provide a workaround, as fast as we can.
